Darin Dixon

FOUNDER/ DIRECTOR/ COACH

Darin has coaching licenses in F, E, D, and C class. Coached at Zebulon Middle School for 16 years and at North Johnston High School from 2001-2005. As a coach he lead 4 teams to the North Carolina State Cup, finishing 2nd 3 times. Coached at CASL, XL Soccer World, and Sports HQ. He founded Active Kids Soccer League in 2003 which has grown into United Soccer Club. Has coached in Wendell for over 38 years. He coaches all the Recreation teams from 2 yrs old to 9 years old. He also coaches many of the Challenge and Classic teams. He has coached many players that have gone on to play collegiate soccer.

Bret began playing soccer at age 3 and competed at the Classic level from ages 15 to 18, earning All Region honors in his Junior and Senior years, All State in his Senior year, and All Conference during his Sophomore, Junior, and Senior years. He played collegiate soccer at Barton College. Starting his coaching career at 22, he became a head coach at 24, working at various levels, including over 5 years at Shaw University as a collegiate coach and most recently serving as the associate head coach for both men's and women's soccer at Shaw.

Ashley Young

Keith has a rich history in soccer, starting as a young boy who played various positions and eventually became team captain. He helped coach a girls' team and continued to play in adult leagues. Currently, he is an assistant coach for his younger children's classic teams.

Ashley has a background in soccer as a center midfielder during high school at Manteo, played recreationally at UNC Chapel Hill, and spent four years as a forward for the New York Shamrocks club team. She has coached at various levels including recreational, Challenge, and Classic levels.
